This is a beautiful property – a luxurious townhouse in a great location in Dingle town.

There are 10 en-suite rooms in total – the rear of the building has 2 king size rooms which  have harbour/ Garden views and 5 Superking rooms with views of the garden and some have views of the Harbour also  & the 3 front rooms are large super-king rooms with Views of Conor pass. All of the beds are really comfy!

As well as beautiful bedrooms; a large light filled open plan living room opens out onto a patio area and a very large garden. The garden is enclosed by the original stone walls – creating a private space in the centre of town – and backs onto the Díseart chapel & grounds. Indeed the chapel’s famous Harry Clarke windows overlook the bottom of the garden.

We’re always more than happy to give you any tips/ advice on places to see.

You can have breakfast & then relax in the large open plan living / garden room.

You may have guessed but we are passionate about where we live. We feel very privileged to live in a place that is so scenic , so culturally rich and so environmentally diverse, and we work hard to keep it that way to ensure it is preserved for generations to come. Sustainability is not a thing we do, it is a way of being for us, it’s the language we speak. Behaving sustainably through minimising our carbon footprint and engaging meaningfully with our local community is our way of showing appreciation and respect for the unique landscape and environment that we are situated in.

Other things to note

This property is one of the oldest in Dingle. It is approximately 200 years old and in its time was considered one of the most impressive homes in
the town.

The property has an interesting past…. As well as once being the magistrate’s home, it belonged to a lady called Clarisss Hussey, a member of a local wealthy land-owning family. In 1860 Clarissa, a pious Catholic donated money to build the iconic church in Dingle –
St. Mary’s. Clarissa is buried under the floor of the church – you can see her grave marked by a plaque on either wall at the front. The Old School House which has been lovingly renovated was the former Presentation Convent Girls Secondary School up to 2006. And features a large dining/breakfast area and lounge

We aim to run the house as sustainably as possible. A wood pellet stove creates a cosy atmosphere in the
open plan living  area. This along with a thermodynamic system provides plenty of hot water and heating. We also make every effort to use natural cleaning products throughout the house. Oh and we source local food as much as possible.
